#6. Venetian Method

Venetian, Flemish...does it really matter? (All indirect painting methods are variations of these two approaches). An oversimplification would be that the Flemish Method makes the darks transparent, and the Venetian Method creates an opaque underpainting. The end result should be similar in both cases.
I decide at this point to switch to painting the entire underpainting 'opaquely' (Venetian). This is what I am familiar with, and how I was taught.
I will add depth into the shadows with glazes...
