The Pathway- old farm
This is a sketch I painted on location this morning in just under two hours.
It is a farm in the Northern part of the Door County peninsula. The nice farmer allowed us to sit and paint on his property.
It was a bright sunny day with beautiful dappled light everywhere, but it was cold still. The shadows moved very quickly. I had to rely on memory for most of it. I decided to leave it in its unfinished stage, rather than continue working on it in the studio.
And thus begins the plein air season!
